HMES provides Instrumental Tutors for primary and secondary schools for the following instruments:
  • Piano / Electronic Keyboard
  • Drums
  • Acoustic and Electric Guitar
  • Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)
  • Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)
  • Singing
  • Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, etc.)
  • Strings (Violin, 'Cello, etc.)
Our staff, as well as being qualified and experienced teachers, are excellent musicians that continue to have a performing career alongside teaching.

Having the opportunity to learn and develop skills with a musical instrument will be something that children will treasure for life, and maybe take further - as many of our students go on to study music at music college or university, and begin musical careers of their own!

We value the importance of enjoying learning the instrument, and for children to learn for fun!  We do undertake examinations with our students, when wanted with Trinity Guildhall, ABRSM, CMA and Rock School exam boards.

A few basic details:
  • We deliver the lessons during the school day (and after school if demand meets) in pairs or small groups, which in turn means that lessons are cost-effective for parents as costs are shared.  Lessons are paid for by parents, or through Pupil Premium for eligible children;
  • Lessons take place for AT LEAST 35 out of the 39 weeks of the school year;
  • Our teachers will need a small area to teach their lessons (preferably not just in the corridor);
  • We can arrange instrument hire (most often, for FREE) for children without their own instrument so that they can practise at home (for piano pupils, we can arrange for a small electronic keyboard);
  • Schools do not need to be involved with billing parents - we take care of all that;
  • We provide all the enquiry/initial interest forms for parents to complete, as well as the option of booking online.  There is NO COST TO THE SCHOOL.  We can either collect any paper forms from you, or arrange free postage for parents.
If you would like to register your interest in us being your instrumental-lesson-service-provider, please complete the form below and we will get back to you by return (Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 6.00pm)
